Questions, answered

How often do blonde highlights need touching up?

Most partial highlights look their best with a refresh every 8 to 12 weeks. Balayage is more forgiving because the color is hand-painted with a soft root, so many guests stretch it to 12 to 16 weeks with a gloss in between to keep the tone bright.

What is the difference between balayage and foil highlights?

Foils lift hair in precise sections for maximum brightness and uniform dimension, while balayage is painted by hand for a softer, sun-kissed gradient with an easier grow-out. Many Dallas guests land on a blend of both: foils around the face for brightness, balayage through the ends for movement.

Will blonding damage my hair?

Lightening always asks something of your hair, but how much is a choice. Erica lifts gradually, uses bond-protecting products, and will tell you honestly when your hair wants two sessions instead of one. Healthy blonde that lasts beats platinum that breaks.

How long does a blonding appointment take?

Plan on about 90 minutes for a partial and up to three hours for a full highlight or full balayage, including toning and a finished blowout. New color corrections can run longer and start with a consultation.

Can you fix box dye or a blonde job gone wrong?

Usually, yes. Color correction starts with a complimentary consultation so Erica can assess what your hair has been through and map the safest route back to the blonde you wanted in the first place.
